Week One

The Fighting Irish played in “Playing For A Cure” hosted by Sevier County Baseball, March 17-21 . A donation, made in honor of cancer survivor, Stephanie Huskey, was made to Strike Out Cancer. Catholic Baseball is proud to be part of such a great event– for an even greater cause.

Wednesday, March 17 v. William Blount: Loss 5-3
Good day for Hudson Lutterman (2024), 3-4 with 2 doubles and Daniel Parris (2023), 2-3 with a double and a triple. Parris pitched 6 innings with 9 strikeouts.

Friday, March 19 v. Sevier County: Loss 7-6
Strong  bats for Emery Wright (2021) 2-4, Kaden Martin (2022)  and Ian Hubbard (2023) both with homeruns.

Saturday, March 20 v. Daniel Boone: Win  7-3
Big day for Miller Spence (2023), 3-3 with 4 RBI and Nate Breeden (2022) 2-4 at the plate. Canyon Geren (2022) threw a complete game of 6 innings with 8 strike outs.

Saturday, March 20 v. Science Hill: Win 11-5
Irish bats came alive with a team total 9 hits and 11 runs.  Kaden Martin (2022) 2-3 with a homerun and double. Emery Wright (2021) and Daniel Parris (2023) with homeruns. Ben Sompayrac (2023) went 2-3, Hudson Lutterman (2024) 2-4 with 4 RBI.

Sunday, March 21 v. Jefferson County: Win 8-3
Top performers from today’s game were RHP, Ben Sompayrac (2023) threw 4 2/3 innings, giving up 1 earned run. Daniel Parris (2023) with a homerun and 2 RBI, Miller Spence (2023) went 2-3, and Emery Wright (2021) with a double and 2 RBI.
