KCHS Baseball


Knoxville Catholic High School Baseball will be holding tryouts for the 2021-22 season. Players must bring proper equipment. Tryout times are: Monday, June 7 & Tuesday, June 8 at 1-2:30pm. Sessions held at Gaylor Field on KCHS campus.

Facts about Irish Baseball:

  • KCHS Baseball plays in Division II, Class AA, East Region. District opponents for the 2021-22 season are: Baylor School, Chattanooga Christian School, McCallie School and Webb School of Knoxville.
  • Catholic Baseball has been invited to play in the 2022 Perfect Gulf Coast High School Showdown, March 24th-26th, 2022.
  • Irish Baseball was ranked #13 in Prep Baseball Report’s 2021 Preseason Power Countdown.
  • Currently three Irish alum play in Major League programs, with an additional eight playing at the college level.
  • Three current players have committed to play in college.
  • Catholic fields Varsity and Jr. Varsity squads, as well as supporting middle school teams.

Baseball Facilities:

  • Gaylor Field is home to KCHS Baseball.
  • Batting cages, a pitching lab and workout room are available to baseball players on campus.
  • A new press box was completed for the 2021 season. Equipped with Pixellot camera, all home games are live-streamed on the NFHS Network.
