The Fighting Irish lost two to Ensworth to end the 2021 season.
Game 1, Thursday night ended in a 6-1 loss. Canyon Geren (2022) took the loss, lasing 5 1/3 innings allowing 6 runs while striking out 4. Kaden Martin (2022), Miller Spence (2023) and Landon Lutterman (2022) all had 1 hit for the Irish.
Game 2, Saturday afternoon was a tough loss. After battling back, the Irish came up short, losing 7-5. Miller Spence (2023) led the Irish bats, going 3-4 with a double. Emery Wright (2021) and Nate Breeden (2022) added 2 hits each.
As Coach Moore tweeted, “Seniors Emery Wright, Noah Ward and Jacob Foster all battled through some serious injuries this season, but kept a positive attitude and left a legacy. Our foundation is strong! Multiple players pushed into situations that they probably didn’t expect. This will only make them and our team better. I speak for all of our coaching staff when I say we can’t wait to get back to work with these young men.”
The future is bright for KCHS Baseball. This young team will return a squad of hungry and talented boys for 2022. And… We. Can’t. Wait.
