In November of 2022, Knoxville Catholic High, with the help of so many passionate donors, completed the installation of new field turf at Gaylor Field. Tuesday, April 11th, KCHS honored those who made the installation of the infield turf possible.
Moving forward, Catholic High’s baseball home will be known as Diamond Park to honor our lead donors, the Hollin Family. Tony, Kim and their two boys Beau (2016) and Major (2020), who each graduated from Catholic High and played baseball, have made this project possible. Tony is the CEO and founder of Ed Financial Services and the owner of H3 Sports and Diamond Baseball Academy here in Knoxville – hence the name, Diamond Park.
Also recognized were other key donors whose support helped make this project possible, Rocky and MaryAnn Smith, Steve and Kim Turner, Steve and Kathy Walker, Dan Fleming, George Rainwater, Dr. Alan Pinkard, Fr. Chris Michelson, and our Baseball parents and booster club. Beau and Major Hollin threw out the first pitch as the Fighting Irish won big over a previously unbeaten Greeneville team 6-2. Go Irish!
