Ben Sompayrac earned the win for the Irish with another impressive win, 7 IP, 2 R, 1 K. With only 4 hits, the Irish came up big over Baylor, capitalizing on opportunity. Miller Spence had 1 H, 2 RBI, 1 R and Ian Hubbard had a 2B, 2 RBI. Grant Tallent added a 2B.
GAME 2 RESULT: WIN 2 – 1
More dominate pitching performances from Ian Hubbard, 5.2 IP, 1 R, 7 K and Hudson Lutterman, 1.1 IP, 2 K, W. Fighting Irish bats were led by Hubbard, 2-3 (HR) and Ben Sompayrac 2-3. Senior, Ryan Theobald scored the winning run.
With the series win over Baylor, the Fighting Irish advance to the State Tournament.
